Samsung I6220 Star TV Connectivity and Other Features

Connectivity and Other Features

Connectivity options for the Samsung I6220 are relatively limited. It supports GPRS and EDGE for 2G network data, but lacks 3G or Wi-Fi capabilities, which may limit its appeal to today’s users accustomed to faster internet speeds. Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP is included for wireless audio where supported. Unfortunately, there is no GPS support, limiting navigation capabilities to cell-tower-based triangulation. The phone does host a USB 2.0 connection for wired transfers.

In terms of sensors, an accelerometer is the only feature, which adds a bit of interactive fun with auto-rotate features. It supports the basic messaging functions of the time, including SMS, MMS, and email, while the pre-installed WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML browser manages basic web tasks. Java support via MIDP 2.0 allows for the installation of Java applications and games, supplementing the built-in entertainment options.
