The functionality of the SGH-250 is primarily centered around voice communication. Given the GSM technology, it supports 2G networks, specifically the GSM 900 band. Unlike modern smartphones, it doesn't offer data services such as GPRS or EDGE, limiting its use to straightforward calls and text messaging (SMS). The absence of internet capabilities or advanced messaging options framed its use strictly around basic telecommunication. As for sound, the phone utilized vibration and monophonic ringtones for alerts, and it had no loudspeaker or 3.5mm audio jack, which meant music and media consumption weren't accommodated.
