Design and Build
The Siemens CXT65 was designed with ease of use and portability in mind. With dimensions of 108 x 46 x 18 mm and a weight of just 90 grams, it offered a lightweight and compact solution for users who prioritized convenience. Its form factor included a Mini-SIM card slot, ensuring compatibility with the prevalent SIM card format of its era. The phone featured a TFT display capable of rendering 65K colors, offering a resolution of 132 x 176 pixels. While not groundbreaking by today’s standards, the screen provided clear visuals organized in a 4:3 ratio, suitable for basic mobile navigation and the media options available at the time. Navigation was facilitated by a 5-way joystick, which was a notable control mechanism contributing to an intuitive user experience.
