Siemens CXT65 Memory and Connectivity

Memory and Connectivity

In terms of storage, the CXT65 possessed an internal memory of 11MB, a reasonable amount for storing contacts and essential data in 2004. The phonebook allowed the storage of contacts with up to 14 fields each, and users had the option of assigning photo IDs to them. However, the absence of a memory card slot and external storage options limited its capacity to expand beyond the built-in storage. Connectivity options were typical of the time, with no Bluetooth or WLAN capabilities. Instead, Siemens included an infrared port, which permitted wireless data exchange with compatible devices, a popular feature before the widespread adoption of Bluetooth technology. The phone supported GPRS Class 10 for mobile internet access, enabling basic web browsing and data services via WAP 2.0/xHTML but lacked EDGE functionality for faster speeds.
