Software and Features
Running on Java MIDP 2.0, the Z500 supports basic (by today's standards) yet engaging games and applications. The inclusion of multimedia messaging services like SMS, EMS (Enhanced Messaging Service), MMS, and standard email allowed users to communicate effectively. With WAP 2.0/xHTML as its browser, it provided access to a stripped-down version of the web. A unique feature for the era was the "Push to talk" capability, which enabled users to use it like a walkie-talkie over VoIP services.
