Introduction
The T-Mobile G2x, launched in 2011, represents a time when smartphones were beginning to mature from basic communication devices to fully-fledged portable media centers. Released in April of that year, this device was co-branded with LG as the LG Optimus 2X in other markets. Its release marked LG’s first foray into dual-core processor technology, setting the bar high for its contemporaries. Unfortunately, its production run was relatively short, and it's now listed as discontinued. However, its features and performance are well worth a retrospective exploration.
