T-Mobile G2x Performance and Software

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the T-Mobile G2x houses an Nvidia Tegra 2 AP20H chipset, featuring a dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a ULP GeForce GPU. This combination provided a significant performance leap over its single-core rivals in 2011. It originally ran on Android 2.2 (Froyo) but could be upgraded to 2.3 (Gingerbread), which at the time brought enhancements such as better power management and more polished UI features. This operating system paired with the dual-core chipset made the G2x adept at multitasking and running resource-intensive apps.
