The Sidekick 4G maintains a solid build with dimensions of 127 x 61 x 15 mm and a weight of 162 grams, making it comfortably substantial in hand. The phone is crafted with a sliding mechanism to reveal its full QWERTY keyboard, a signature feature expected from the Sidekick lineage. This QWERTY keyboard was praised for its tactile feedback and spacing, providing a comfortable typing experience for avid texters and email users. In terms of materials, the matte black and pearl magenta color options were stylish choices for their time. The front is dominated by a 3.5-inch TFT display, accompanied by an optical trackpad that offers an alternative navigation method, supporting a mix of touch and tactile control.
