Under the hood, the Toshiba Thrive 7 is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 chipset featuring a dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a ULP GeForce GPU. This setup was quite competent at the time for handling multimedia playback and moderate multitasking. However, it runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb, a version of the operating system specifically designed for tablets, which may feel outdated for today’s standards. The device comes with 1GB of RAM and options for 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a dedicated microSDHC slot.
