The vivo V3's design is notable for its compactness and light weight. Measuring 143.6 x 71 x 7.5 mm and weighing only 138 grams, this phone was crafted to fit comfortably in the hand without feeling cumbersome. Its slim profile and smooth metallic finish lent it a premium look. The device featured a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display, with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Although the screen-to-body ratio of 67.6% might seem modest by today's standards, at release, this was a competitive feature for mid-range devices. The display itself delivered vibrant colors and decent viewing angles, typical of the IPS technology.
