The single 16 MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture was a strong suit for the Redmi Note 3. It included features such as phase detection autofocus and a dual-LED dual-tone flash, contributing to satisfactory photo quality in good lighting conditions. The HDR and panorama modes added versatility to the camera's repertoire. On the front, the 5 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture was sufficient for selfies and video calls, capturing 1080p video at 30fps, similar to the rear camera. Though it struggled in low-light conditions, the camera setup as a whole was competitive for the phone's class.
