Performance
Internally, the iPad was powered by the Apple A4 chipset, featuring a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU and PowerVR SGX535 GPU. This configuration, alongside 256MB of RAM, provided adequate performance for handling basic tasks and applications available at the time, including web browsing and media consumption. The system initially launched with iOS 4 but was upgradable to iOS 5.1.1, offering access to improved features and an expanded App Store.
