Design and Build
The i-mate SPL sports a minimalist design with dimensions of 114.5 x 49 x 12 mm, making it quite slim for its time. Weighing in at 102 grams, it strikes a balance between portability and a solid hand feel. The use of a mini-SIM slot is characteristic of the devices from this period. The phone’s exterior was crafted to fit comfortably in the user's hand while being easy to navigate with a 5-way navigation button.
