Equipped with a 4.0-inch TFT display, the A690 provided a screen-to-body ratio of around 56.5%, which now feels dated but was fairly typical for its time. The 480 x 800 pixel resolution at approximately 233 pixels per inch density offered decent clarity for the budget category. However, the TFT technology means viewing angles and color accuracy were limited compared to modern IPS or AMOLED screens.
