The Mitac MIO 8870 was powered by a removable Li-Ion 1050 mAh battery. Practically, this translated into up to 100 hours of standby time and up to 4 hours of talk time, adequate for a device of its era when people were beginning to expect more than just a day's worth of use from their mobile devices.
