The design of the Mitac MIO 8870 was typical of early smartphones, with dimensions of 110 x 49 x 21 mm and a weight of 120 g. The phone's compact build was both comfortable to hold and suited for one-handed use, featuring a classic candy-bar form factor. Despite the limited screen-to-body ratio of around 28.3%, the device prioritized portability over expansive display, which was typical in the early 2000s.
