Connectivity and Communication
Connectivity was one of the key areas where the NEC e338 was ahead of some competitors. As a 3G-capable device, supporting UMTS 2100 bands, it provided faster internet access at a speed of up to 384 kbps compared to its predecessors predominantly reliant on 2G networks. Nonetheless, the absence of modern connectivity options such as WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, and a radio reveals a stark limitation by today's expectations. The phone did, however, support WAP 2.0/xHTML for basic mobile web browsing.
