For audio, the NEC e338 featured a loudspeaker and supported vibration alerts and downloadable polyphonic ringtones. Although it lacked a 3.5mm audio jack, it accommodated popular audio formats like MIDI, MP3, AAC, WMA, and WAV for a personalized auditory experience. The lack of advanced sensors and multimedia sharing technologies, however, restricted it in the realm of connected multimedia communication.
