NEC e338 Design and Build

Design and Build

The NEC e338 features a compact and robust design, typical of the mobile phones of its era. With dimensions of 93.8 x 47.1 x 23.3 mm, and weighing 114 grams, it was relatively easy to carry in a pocket or purse, though slightly chunky by today's standards. The phone used the Mini-SIM format, which was standard before the micro and nano SIMs took over. Despite its compactness, NEC managed to incorporate an innovative element for the time—a rotating camera lens, demonstrating early experimentation with mobile photography.
