While cameras were not the primary focus for tablets during this time, the Galaxy Note 8.0's 5 MP rear camera offered autofocus and the ability to shoot 720p video at 30fps. This setup allowed for decent photography and video capabilities for a tablet but struggled in low-light conditions.

On the front, the 1.3 MP selfie camera is serviceable for video calls but not much beyond that. Audio quality is praiseworthy, given the presence of stereo speakers and a 3.5mm jack, which deliver a balanced audio experience further enhanced for music play, lasting up to 120 hours on a single charge.
