Hardware and Performance
Powered by the Exynos 4412 Quad chipset and a quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, the Galaxy Note 8.0 was dependable for moderate multitasking and everyday applications. The Mali-400MP4 GPU handled graphics tasks efficiently enough, although intense gaming or media editing would show its limitations. With 2GB of RAM and internal storage options of 16GB or 32GB, expandable via microSD, it provides an acceptable base for media and app storage needs. The device originally shipped with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) but was upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat), allowing it to take advantage of later software features and improvements.
