Physically, the Siemens SX45 is notable for its bulky dimensions and significant heft. Measuring 134 x 87 x 26 mm, and weighing 330 grams, it is cumbersome compared to today’s slim and lightweight smartphones. The size and weight make the SX45 more closely resemble a handheld computer than a phone, which reflects its dual purpose design philosophy. The use of a mini-SIM card was standard for the time, emphasizing its role as a communication device despite its bulky size.
