Siemens SX45 Software and Performance

Software and Performance

At the heart of the Siemens SX45 is a 64-bit NEC VR4122 processor clocking at 150 MHz. While this specification may sound modest today, it was a notable feature for early 2000s handheld devices. Running Microsoft Windows CE 3.0, the SX45 aimed to deliver a full PocketPC experience, allowing users to access a variety of productivity applications such as email, word processing, and a calendar. While the operating system offered robust functionality for the time, the limited 32MB internal memory, though expandable with MMC or CF cards, was a significant constraint.
