Performance and Operating System
Under the hood, the Motorola MPx ran on Microsoft PocketPC 2003 SE, an operating system that gave users access to mobile versions of Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF viewing capabilities. The device was powered by a 200 MHz ARM926EJ-S processor, which, combined with the TI OMAP 1710 chipset, provided just enough power to handle basic smartphone tasks of the era. However, with only 32MB of internal memory (16MB available for user applications and data), users quickly found themselves constrained, relying heavily on MMC/SD cards for additional storage.
